SUMMARY:Hurricane Irma Emergency Information Centers
DESCRIPTION:Here are a couple of websites that will help South Carolinians and their preparations for Hurricane Irma which at this time of writing is still  category 5 hurricane with winds sustaining at 175 mph and travelling at 16 mph towards the US coast. Here you can find emergency planning guides\, evacuation routes\, shelters\, where to get supplies\, insurance info and school closings to name just SOME of the things you can find on there. The second one is a link to the governor’s press conference at 2 p.pm. today for those that missed it \nTweets by scgovernorpress \nHere he tells us what he expects to happen in the next couple of days and what he has initiated. \nShare this:Tweet\n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n MoreShare on Tumblr\n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram

SUMMARY:The Greenville Young Democrats Summit For Change
DESCRIPTION:The Greenville Young Democrats invite you to the Summit for Change on Saturday\, September 2nd at the West End Community Center (404 Vardy Street\, Greenville) from 1:00pm to 3:30pm. \nThe Greenville Young Democrats are hosting this summit to bring all organizations working to bring about progressive change in Greenville together to see how we can work together to push forward our agendas; to make our passion into policy. The best way to do that here in Greenville is to help elect progressive candidates to champion our causes. That begins with the upcoming elections we have in November in Greenville County. We want to here from you and we want you to hear from us. \nThis November\, we will have three candidates on the ballot in Greenville County: \nLillian Brock Flemming– District 2\, Greenville City Council\nRussell Stall– At Large seat\, Greenville City Council\nDexter Reaves– District 6\, Greer City Council \nThey have agreed to address the Summit about their candidacies and what we all can do to support them. \nWhat we begin to build here at this summit will not only benefit the Greenville community this year but will carry forward to 2018 with congressional races\, solicitors’ races\, the South Carolina gubernatorial race\, and beyond. \nEvery organization that attends will have the opportunity to address the summit in 3-5 minute remarks and set up an information table for your organization. It will be great chance to network\, share the great work you have done\, and bring others to your cause. \nRepresentatives from Upstate 100\, Greenville Black Lives Matter\, and From the Ground Up will also address the summit along with YDSC officers Jeni Atchley and Austin Jackson. \nWe look forward to learning about each other and seeing how we can help each other. The Greenville community needs us now\, not only to keep protesting but to ensure we are electing leaders who will embody and fight for our ideals and values \n\n\n\nShare this:Tweet\n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n \n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n MoreShare on Tumblr\n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram
