Hello, dear friends, fellow moms, and everyone in our compassionate community—it’s Jill Swing here in Charleston, South Carolina, reaching out with an open heart. For those who know me, or if this is your first time hearing from me, I’m the mom to my beautiful daughter Mary Louise, who’s faced severe epilepsy since she was so little. As president and co-founder of the SC Compassionate Care Alliance, I’ve spent over a decade advocating gently but persistently for the tools that bring relief and peace to families like ours.

District 99 Candidates Support Medical Cannabis
If you had told me five years ago that I would be advocating for the legalization of medical cannabis, I would have laughed out loud. I grew up in an extremely conservative household during the “Just Say No to Drugs” era and to this day have never smoked marijuana. It was a personal connection that brought me into this fight.

SC Compassionate Care Alliance is Walking for Green
The West Ashley Greenway is a haven for cyclists, joggers and walkers who enjoy fresh air and the great outdoors. According to their website, the west ashley greenway is an 8.25 mile hiking and bike trail located in west ashley, just outside of charleston, sc. The greenway stretches from the south windermere shopping center (on folly road) to johns island. Most of the route follows highway 17.
